Occidental College Dance Team

The 2011-2012 Oxy Dance Team is a group of 14 talented student-dancers from all over the country! The team is a jazz, pom and hip-hop competition team as well as part of the Occidental College Spirit Squad. Cleverly known as the "Tiger Girls", the team dances at home sporting events and philanthropy occasions on and off Occidental's campus. The team also competes yearly in many of Universal Dance Association's regional and national competitions! Last year, the Tiger Girls placed 18th in Jazz and 16th in Hip-Hop at the National Collegiate Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Fl. This year the team is joined by a wonderful new coach and choreographer, Dana Rosenthal. Support the Oxy Dance Team! LATEST HEADLINES:

The Oxy Dance Team will be competing in Universal Dance Association's Southern California Regional Championships on November 20th in San Diego, CA. The previous two years the team has placed 1st in the competition and they hope to keep their titles again this year with their winning hip-hop and pom routines. The team will also be competing at the West Coast Dance Championship on March 3rd 2012 in Universal City, CA. Come support your Tiger Girls by cheering them on at these amazing competitions!
