Tigers finish fourth in SCIAC

MURRIETA, Calif. (April 27, 2010) The 2010 golf season concluded yesterday at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship 36-hole Tournament. The seven schools gathered at the SCGA Members Club of Murietta where the University of La Verne (586) edged the University of Redlands (588) for the team title. Occidental College placed tied with Pomona-Pitzer for fourth (603) behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (594) and ahead of Cal Lutheran University (612) and Whittier College (621).

(April 18, 2010) In the final Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match of the 2010 season before championships, Occidental College was in fine form, placing second for the second time this spring. The host Tigers combined to use 303 strokes at the Empire Lakes Golf Course under sunny, clear skies.

The squad combined to put together a three-round subtotal of 979 and finished 10th, which was just seven strokes off seventh place host CLU.
REDLANDS, Calif. (Feb. 25, 2010) The Tigers took to the tees today where Occidental College placed third in their second Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match of the season. At the East Redlands Country Club, the Black and Orange combined to shoot a 304 to place third among the eight teams competing.
LA VERNE, Calif. (Feb. 18, 2010) In the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener today at Sierra La Verne, Occidental College finished fifth. With a combined 320, the Tigers looked to Sam Weiss who shot a front nine low of 34 among the 50 golfers who took to the course today.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2010) A year after a transformation of the golf program at Occidental College began, the 2010 squad looks to improve on the foundation that they set last spring. The Tigers suit up nine returning golfers and add one student-athletes to the roster for their upcoming campaign.
