Anderson Earns Second SCIAC AOW Recognition

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2009) – For the second time in as many weeks Sean Anderson was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week as voted on by the Sports Information Directors of the conference.

The 6-foot-10 center continued his offensive onslaught this week by averaging 25 points and 11 rebounds per game as he propelled the Tigers to a 2-0 week with wins over La Verne and Redlands.

On Wednesday night at ULV he poured in 28 points, 17 in the first half, making 10 field goals, adding eight free-throws. He also pulled down 14 rebounds in the game. Defensively he added four blocks as well.

Saturday evening at Oxy, he finished with 22 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field, while sinking 12 free-throws. He also finished with a steal and an assist.

Overall he shot 62.5% from the field in the two games.
