Anderson, Hanley Land on All-SCIAC Teams
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 2, 2009) – Two Tigers earned recognition from the conference following the 2009 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball coaches meeting. Junior Sean Anderson landed on the First Team All-SCIAC while freshman Jack Hanley earned Second Team recognition.
Anderson, a two time SCIAC Athlete of the Week, averaged 15.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game to lead the Tigers. He shot 60.4% from the field and his 6-foot-10 frame was a threat in the paint all season long. Anderson also recorded a team high 14 blocks.
Hanley, who joined the team in late December, stood out during his first season of collegiate basketball. He poured in 14.7 points per game and stole the ball 15 times, adding 27 assists. Hanley also pulled down 3.4 rebounds per game for the Tigers.
