LOS ANGELES - Zeke Sebastian was named SCIAC Swimmer of the Week on Monday after an outstanding meet against Whittier.
Sebastian, a first-year sprinter from Verona, WI., won the 200 yard freestyle in dominating fashion separating himself from the rest of the pack by over five seconds. Zeke is now seeded second going into the SCIAC conference meet, only trailing SCIAC champion Mark Hallman. His time of 1:42.69 is a two second PR this season and five seconds faster than he finished a year ago in high school.
Sebastian also swam the fastest leg of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay and won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.31.
"This honor is well deserved as he had a great meet and a great season thus far" said Oxy head coach Steve Webb. "He has absolutely shattered all his current lifetime best times and is poised to have an even better SCIAC championships."
The Tigers improved to 6-2 in SCIAC capping off a historic season.
