Pegan, Sprinters Get Back On Track at Redlands Invite

REDLANDS - The Occidental men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Redlands Invitational during spring break. 

Tigers' main sprinters have been recovering from early season injuries but are now back in form. 

Senior star, Hugh Pegan, showed the conference that he is still ready to defend his throne. Pegan ran times of 10.97 in the 100m and 21.95 in the 200m. Sophomore Tyler Webb, has also recovered from injury well, posting a time of 10.99 in the 100m. Junior Rio Chiba, followed closely behind in 11.17 and 22.28. Closing out the highlights of sprinters, junior Chris Toribio had a nice seasonal best of 11.12 and followed that up with a seasonal best in the long jump of 21' 9". 

The Tigers will be back in action on March 31 for the second conference Multi-Dual meet of the season at the University of La Verne competing against University of Redlands and Caltech.
