POMONA - The Occidental men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday.
The meet was highlighted by sophomore LaShauna Porter's 200m. Her new PR of 24.70 moved her up to 5th in the country, 2nd in the conference, and 4th all-time in Oxy history.
Porter has had an outstanding sophomore season so far, and should be headed to nationals in the event.
Sophomore Corrie McKee highlighted the throwers for the day by moving up to 10th all-time at Oxy in the shotput with a mark of 35'9.5".
On the men's side, Brody Barkan set a new 1500m PR at 3:55.85 which currently puts him at 2nd in the conference. Austin DeWitz hit a seasonal best in the high jump at 6'6.75", separating himself from the rest of the conference.
