AZUSA — A handful of Occidental distance runners posted impressive marks at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific on Friday.
For the women, Eva Townsend set a personal record by more than 10 seconds in the 3,000m steeplechase, going from ninth up to fourth on Oxy's all-time list in the event with a time of 11:23.51, and Roxanne Valle had a 2-second personal record in the 1,500m, going 4:44.09.
Townsend currently ranks third in the SCIAC and Valle is up to seventh.
For the Oxy men, Brody Barkan posted a 2-second personal record in the 1,500m with the fastest time in the SCIAC this season at 3:53.01.
