CLAREMONT, Calif. (May 2, 2010) – Yesterday the men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up their Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season at the 2010 championships hosted by the University of La Verne at Pomona-Pitzer’s Strehle Track. While injuries and illnesses limited the Tigers’ on the final weekend of the season, resulting in disappointing third and sixth place finishes for the women and men, respectively, the teams competed extremely hard and left with numerous personal bests and Oxy All-Time marks.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 17, 2010) – More than half of the combined men’s and women’s track and field teams recorded personal or seasonal best performances today as Occidental College completed a phenomenal Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quad meet at the Bill Henry Track today. The host Tigers were 2-1 for both men’s and women’s teams as Oxy hosted Cal Lutheran University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer in a great preview meet for SCIAC Championships to be held April 30 and May 1.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 8, 2010) - In just one month, the Tigers track and field teams will host their annual Oxy Invitational at D.W. Patterson Field and Bill Henry Track. The meet serves primarily as a qualifier for NCAA Championships and with the large numbers the meet drew last year, entry standards have been implemented and will be strictly enforced in 2010.
CLAREMONT, Calif. (April 3, 2010) – After nearly a month long layoff from Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competition, the Tigers traveled to Pomona-Pitzer who hosted the second series of dual-meets this season. Both the men’s and women’s squads successfully defeated Whittier College and the University of La Verne, putting the women atop the standings with a 4-0 record while the men remain tied with a 3-1 mark.
