Tigers Fall to Kingsman

LOS ANGELES — The Tigers took on the Kingsman of Cal Lutheran in a SCIAC Men's Water Polo matchup Tuesday afternoon. After falling behind early the Tigers were forced to work from behind the entire game. They managed to keep the game close, but lost it in the end 12-8.

Tigers were shutout in the first quarter, but managed to score three goals in the second quarter. The second quarter surge was led by Alexander Zim, Hayden Comerford and Nicolas Lipari who all score.

Occidental trailed Cal Lutheran 7-3 at halftime.

The third quarter was all Occidental. The Tigers outscored the Kingsman 3-1 and managed to get the score within two. Jasper Lee and Alex Marlott would score their first goals of the game in the quarter. Cal Lutheran would pull away in the fourth quarter after scoring four quick goals extending their lead 12-6. Occidental would score twice in the last minute bringing the final score 12-8.

Starting goalie Henry Grady played all 32 minutes and had five saves with a steal. Occidental moves to 7-4, 0-4 in the SCIAC. Occidental will be in Claremont this weekend for the Gary Troyer Tournament.
