Water Polo ranked 10 in pre-season CWPA poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. (Aug. 22, 2010) The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announced the Division III preseason rankings last week and the Occidental College Tigers landed at number 10 in the nation entering their 2010 campaign.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 21, 2010) Seven members of the mens water polo team were named to the 2009 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team, which was released today. Additionally the entire team was honored for its work in the classroom, accumulating a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 during the fall season.

(Nov. 14, 2009) At the 2009 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament the mens water polo team came away with a 1-2 record for the weekend after defeating the University of La Verne 13-9 despite losses to Pomona-Pitzer (11-4) and Cal Lutheran University (14-8) to wrap up the season.

(Nov. 7, 2009) After a tough road loss to the University of Redlands on Wednesday afternoon, the Tigers returned home to Occidental College where they faced off with the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leading Whittier College Poets. Oxy fell 19-11 on the road to the Bulldogs and came up short 14-8 against WC this morning.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2009) Early in the morning Occidental College led Cal Lutheran University in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference water polo action, but a 5-1 second quarter let the Kingsmen to a two-goal half-time lead that they would not relinquish, handing the Tigers a 15-13 loss at Taylor Pool.
