The Tigers nearly made a comeback in the bottom of the eighth. Natalie Glover, who finished 1 for 3, doubled in Madison Romero and moved Nyla Gatison to third base. Oxy made the next two outs though and couldn't bring Gatison across the plate tie it.

Gatison, Oxy's first year leadoff hitter, finished the day 2 for 3 with a stolen base.

It's Oxy second consecutive extra inning game. The Tigers beat Marymount 4-3 in eight innings on a walk-off single by Alex Battest last weekend.
