LOS ANGELES — Alyssa Ramlochan filled up the stat sheet as the Occidental women's basketball team beat Westcliff 62-48 in an exhibition game at Rush Gym on Tuesday night.
Ramlochan, a 5-foot-9 sophomore point guard from Los Angeles, scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out five assists and had two steals.
Raveena Dhiman led three Tigers in double figures with 12 points on 4 for 8 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, Kulaea Tulua showed off her jumping ability with 11 points, seven rebounds and a pair of freaky blocks, and Allie Morrison had 10 points and three blocks for Oxy. Taylor Yoshida had six points and seven rebounds, Madison Toy had seven points and Mallory North scored six points.
Jordan Pierce led Westcliff and the game with 18 points on six 3-pointers.
Oxy, which looked athletic and scrappy, ran away with the game with a 26-15 fourth quarter. The Tigers were missing starting players Tala Ismail, who is still recovering from injury, and Emily Leonard, who is also a member of the women's soccer team.
"We had great energy for our first outing and played team basketball," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said. "We've got a nice foundation to build on and we have another opportunity for learning and growth in an exhibition on Thursday against Cal Poly Pomona."
The Tigers will take on the Broncos at 7:30 p.m.Follow Oxy Athletics on Twitter Sign Up for Newsletters Watch on Youtube Follow us on Instagram
