Four Tigers Named to All-West Region Squad
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 17, 2007) – Announced today four members of the Occidental College women’s soccer team were named to 2007 National Soccer Coaches Association of America / adidas All-West Region Teams.

Sasaki Named Player of the Year, All-SCIAC teams announced
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2007) – Jesi Sasaki proved to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that she can play with the best of them as she capped off her rookie campaign by earning SCIAC Player of the Year recognition. Joining Sasaki on the All-SCIAC teams were Corrine Winkler, Melissa Warner, Elise Devereux and Marci Kang.

Sour Ending to Sweet Season for Women’s Soccer
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2007) – Both teams left it all out on the field today at the SCIAC Tournament Championship game on the Lower Soccer Field at the campus of Occidental College. In the 110th minute of play the Regals had just a little bit more as they walked away with a penalty kick victory after overtime to advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament as the SCIAC representative.

CLAREMONT, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2007) – A defensive game from the get-go remained just that with the exception of a 75th minute goal to give the Occidental College Tigers a 1-0 victory in their first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Post Season Tournament appearance.

After finishing second in the conference the women’s soccer team at Occidental has taken the first step towards advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2007) – A much improved 2007 soccer squad clinched a second place finish in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in with a 2-0 win over Cal Lutheran today on the Lower Soccer Field.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2007) – Occidental women’s soccer clinched a Post Season Tournament berth with a 10-0 victory over the visiting Whittier College Poets today on the Lower Soccer Field.

Tigers Take 2-1 Overtime Victory on the Road
REDLANDS, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2007) - Just over two minutes into overtime a cross from Grace Reinhalter found the head of Jesi Sasaki who pushed the ball into the right corner of the goal for the game winner Wednesday at Farquhar Field on the campus of the University of Redlands.

Tigers Soccer Shuts Out Regals
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2007) – The Occidental College women’s soccer team was out shot by the California Lutheran University Regals 14-9 but was able to score twice late in the game to give them their fourth win in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action today at North Field on the campus of CLU.

Tigers’ Streak Snapped by Athenas
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2007) – Both teams were undefeated entering the day and one would walk away with the top spot among the seven Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams. Today, the victory went to the Athenas of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps who outscored the Tigers 3-2 at the Lower Soccer Field on the campus of Occidental College.

Unfortunately for Occidental, Hope International University took a 1-0 lead just 4:48 into the first half, and held the Tigers scoreless, handing them a loss in their first game of the season.
