OXY HAS CHANCES IN LOSS

ORANGE – The Occidental College women's soccer team had just as many opportunities as Chapman University, but the Panthers were more efficient, converting three chances for scores in a 3-0 win over the Tigers on Wednesday.

Both teams rattled off 13 shots and five on goal.

Whitney Roline (Eugene, Ore.) led Oxy with three total and two on target. Katie McDonald (Pasadena), Karina Garcia (Alhambra) and Michaela Tsuha (Honolulu) had the other three shots on goal for the Tigers (2-7, 1-6 SCIAC)

Haley Fedden scored the Panthers (7-4, 3-4) first goal in the 2nd minute, Rebeccah Bortz added a second in the 41st and Ashley Sweeting put away the thid in the 68th.

Chapman goalie Marissa Fehrman made five saves. Oxy's Taylor Renshaw (Phoenix) had two.

The Tigers play at Redlands on Saturday at 1 p.m.
