Oxy Women's Soccer Wins at Caltech

PASADENAElleni Bekele scored twice and Isabella Bonomi scored once as the Occidental women's soccer team won at Caltech 3-0 on Saturday.

Bekele scored in the 39th minute and then again in the 46th minute. The junior from Long Beach now leads the team with three goals, all of them coming in her last three games.

Bonomi's goal was the first of the game in the 16th minute. She leads Oxy in total points with a pair of goals and three assists. 

Jasmine Davis and Caroline Kearney each recorded assists for the Tigers. 

Season Impact: Oxy keeps its unbeaten streak alive, improving to 4-0-2 overall and 3-0-2 in SCIAC. Oxy has 11 points in SCIAC, moving into first place with a handful of conference games scheduled for Saturday night.

Oxy beat Knox in its non-conference season opener, and has beaten Caltech, Chapman and Whittier in SCIAC. The Tigers tied Cal Lutheran and Redlands. 

Caltech falls to 1-6 and 0-6.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action on Wednesday, hosting La Verne at 7 p.m. at Jack Kemp Stadium.
