Two Relays, Two Individuals All-SCIAC

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's and women's swimming and diving teams had two relays and two individuals honored as All-SCIAC for finishing in the top three at the SCIAC Championships in February.

A total of 10 different swimmers made the list.

"It is a great honor to have 10 different swimmers earn All-Conference honors," Oxy head coach Steve Webb said. "A lot of these swimmers are also first years and sophomores, which is a very good sign as we look towards the future."

Cindy Dong led the way for the Oxy women as the SCIAC Champion in the 200 fly. She also broke the school, SCIAC and SCIAC meet record at 2:02.13 and is headed to nationals as the fourth seed in the event.

Katie Hines earned the other individual award, finishing second in the 1,650 freestyle.

The Oxy women's 200 medley relay (Emily DriscollLaura ChunClaire Jang and Joan Kronick) took third for an All-SCIAC finish and school record with a time of 1:47.79.

The Oxy men were All-SCIAC in the 200 free relay (Sam SachsEdward DabsysZander Granath and Zeke Sebastian) after finishing third.
