2017 Occidental Distance Carnival Spring Break Classic

Rekortan 8 lane track -1/4” pyramid spikes requested. The hammer, javelin, and women’s shot put will take place on upper campus. The upper athletic fields are approximately half a mile from the track stadium. The javelin will be thrown from a grass runway. Shuttles to the upper fields from the stadium will be provided for athletes, coaches, and officials only. Spectators will be responsible for their own transportation. Shuttles will leave from the north-west of the stadium bleachers. For a map of the campus, please click here.
Limited parking is available on campus. Street parking is available near the track stadium.
After unloading at Jack Kemp Stadium, Buses are required to park on upper AG Coons Road (across from Keck Theater). Please follow posted signs.
Athletes should use Campus Rd and the perimeter of campus for warmups as necessary. Lower Campus should not be used for warm ups.
All athletes competing in running events are asked to check-in at the orange clerk’s tent (near the 100 meter start) at least 20 minutes prior to the start of their event. Running event athletes are encouraged to check in early and can check in at any time. Field event athletes check-in at your event site 20 minutes prior to the start of the first flight of your event.
College/University Entry Fees
All colleges/universities are required to pay their entry fees at the table near to the check in tent (near the 100m start) as soon as they arrive. Cash or check will be accepted. Please make checks payable to Occidental College.
Individuals: $20.00 per event.
Teams: $400.00 (if 20 or more entries) per gender.
Sorry, there will be NO REFUNDS for scratches.
All horizontal jumps and throws athletes will get 4 attempts.
Field Event Size Limits:
Due to excessively large field sizes in prior years, field events were limited to the top 24 entrants per event.
Weigh – Ins:
Implements for all throwing events will be weighed in on the west side of the track from 7:30 AM -11:00 AM.
Training Room Resources:
Training room and trainer will be available. Please bring your own training kit.
Fully automatic timing services will be provided by Royal Results. Live results may be found at http://www.royalresults.com/liveresults/. Results will be available online after the meet concludes and will also be posted on the cork board by the tennis courts during the meet.
