Tigers, Sagehens battle in Inaugural dual-meet
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 13, 2010) – Today on the Bill Henry Track on the campus of Occidental College, the Tigers hosted their first dual meet in more than a decade. Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival, Pomona-Pitzer traveled to Eagle Rock where the Tigers and Sagehens battled it out on the track and in the field.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 12, 2010) – In the first of a two-day track and field extravaganza on the Bill Henry Track at Occidental College, teams from all levels from across the Nation met for the Annual Oxy Distance Carnival. With more than 600 athletes from Division I, II and III teams as well as NAIA and independent runners competing, the event was again a full-house, which led to exciting racing.

PASADENA, Calif. (March 6, 2010) – In the first Multi-Dual meet of the season the Occidental College Tigers women’s track and field team came home with a slim one-point, 82-81, victory over the University of Redlands and cruised past Caltech 143-20 to remain undefeated in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action today on the campus of Caltech. The men’s squad pulled out a 116-40 win over the Beavers, but fell to the Bulldogs, 117-45.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 16, 2009) – Four years ago the Class of 2009 stepped foot on the campus of Occidental College as young freshmen. Today, more than 80 senior student-athletes gathered one final time for the 2009 Senior Scholar Athlete Banquet in which Kera Bartlett and Justin Goltz were honored with the Tiger Club Most Outstanding female and male scholar-athlete awards, respectively.
