Oxy Volleyball Takes Down Oberlin

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental women's volleyball team took down Oberlin 3-1 in a non-conference match at Rush Gymnasium on Wednesday.

Set Scores: 25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 32-30.

Season Impact: After dropping matches to Chapman and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Oxy bounces back, improving to 9-11 overall.

With five matches to play, Oxy is one game back of the fourth and final SCIAC playoff spot. 

Oberlin falls to 7-12.

Players of the Match: Cassandra Guidice had a team-high 12 kills, and Hannah Wagner and Claire Strohm each had 11. 

Guidice also had three service aces and three block assists. 

Amanda Herold chipped in seven kills and led Oxy with 17 digs.

Next Match: The Tigers are back in action at La Verne on Friday at 7 p.m.
