Degnan Continues Strong Play at Redlands

REDLANDSSabrina Degnan had another big game on offense and defense for the Occidental women's volleyball team, but the Tigers fell 3-1 at Redlands on Friday.

Degnan, a senior outside hitter from Atascadero, led Oxy with 14 kills and 12 digs. She currently ranks eighth in the SCIAC in kills per set (2.79) and 13th in digs per set (3.07).

Taylor Gorretta chipped in eight kills and seven digs, Hannah Wagner had six kills and 13 digs, Lauren Duffy had six kills, and Sydney Takauye added nine digs for Oxy. 

Oxy took Game 1 before falling in the next three.

Christina Casey led Redlands with 13 kills and Melanie Fyda added 10.

Season Impact: The Tigers fall to 7-16 overall and 3-12 in SCIAC.

Redlands improves to 13-13 and 4-11.

Next Game: Oxy finishes the season against Caltech on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Tigers will recognize their four seniors with a brief pregame ceremony.
