LOS ANGELES — Occidental College baseball player Logan Allen (Atascadero) and women’s basketball player Makenzie Brandon (Seattle, Wash.) took home top honors as the Roy Dennis Scholar Athlete Award winners at Oxy’s senior banquet on Saturday for achieving the most in academics and athletics among the class of 2013.

Oxy women finish fourth at Regionals

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. — Megan Lang (Longmont, Colo.) led the Occidental College women’s cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA West Region Championship on Saturday and probably earned a spot in the national championship race as an at-large bid as well.
