Womens Cross Country ranked 33rd in nation

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Sept. 1, 2010) A few weeks ago the womens cross country team was labeled as the No. 3 team in the West Region. Today, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the National pre-season poll, which ranked the Tigers No. 33 among more than 400 schools across the country.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Aug. 18, 2010) In the 2010 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll released last week, the Occidental College womens cross country team landed as the third ranked team in the West Region entering the season.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2009) Following the fall season of 2009 a number of Occidental College athletes were recognized by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after being earning All-SCIAC honors.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2009) Grace Peck and Denali Hasley have been running cross country for Occidental College for four years. In their final collegiate race they were sure to leave it all out on the course. Peck was the top finisher for the Tigers, who finished fifth as a team, while Hasley was third as sophomores Sadie Mohler and Eliza Dornbush were second and fourth for the Black and Orange, respectively, as all four earned All-West Region honors.
CHINO, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2009) With their second consecutive team title, the nationally ranked womens cross country team has swept both SCIAC meets to take home the 2009 SCIAC Championship. Freshman Phoebe Merritt led the way once again, finishing third today, improving one spot from her SCIAC multi dual finish. This also marked the second conference title for the women in the past three years.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2009) The Oxy cross country teams will compete in the SCIAC Championships this Saturday at Prado Park. For the first time this season, the women have garnered national recognition, as they enter Saturday ranked 30th in the country.
LA MIRADA, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2009) Freshman Phoebe Merritt led the womens cross country team to their first team title of the season at the SCIAC Multi Dual at La Mirada Park. Merritt continued her streak as the No. 1 runner for the Tigers as she finished fourth overall with a time of 23:05.27. The freshman has been Oxy's top finisher in every meet this season.
