Entries:

All entries are to be made online through the Direct Athletics website at
http://www.directathletics.com (search for “2025 SCIAC T&F Championships” in Direct
Athletics to find the meet).

Entries will close at 11:59am on Wednesday, April 23rd.

Meet entries will be emailed to all coaches and posted to the Occidental website as soon as possible after the entry deadline.

Late Entries/Scratches:

No adds/scratches will be permitted after the entry deadline.

Heat Sheets:

Heat and Flights will be posted on the Occidental website.

Results:

Live results will be available at Royal Results.

Official results will be available on the Occidental website after the conclusion of competition each day.

Scoring:

The meet will be scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for all events. Eight athletes will advance to the finals in all individual track events 800m and under. Twelve will advance in the 1500m. Nine athletes will advance to the finals in all field events.
Implement Weigh-ins:

Implements will be weighed in and certified on the west side of the track (near the training
room). Weigh ins are required for all throwers both Saturday and Sunday. Please bring
Saturday’s implements on Saturday.

Weigh-ins open at 10:30am-2pm on Saturday, and from 12-2pm on Sunday.

Weigh-ins will open for Dec/Hep implements will be from 8:45am-9:45am on Saturday, and from 9:30am to 10:30am on Saturday.

Athlete Check-in:

Field Events: Report directly to the event site no later than 20 minutes prior to Flight 1 of their
event.
Track Events: Runners must check-in with the Clerk at the Clerks Tent (located near the 100m
start) at least 30 minutes before Heat 1 of their event. If an athlete fails to participate in an event,
they will be scratched as per the NCAA failure to participate rule.

Opening Heights:

Opening heights are as follows:
High Jump Women (1.27m) Men (1.62m)
Pole Vault Women (2.45m) Men (3.05m)

Warm-ups/Infield:

Warm-ups will be done on the turf football field inside of the track facility. Only competing
athletes and coaches will be allowed on the infield.

Rules:

This meet will be conducted under NCAA Division III Track & Field Rules.

Spikes:

Maximum of ¼” exposed will be permitted on the track.

Shoes:
Only shoes on the World Athletics Shoe Check List will be allowed to be worn in competition. Please note that anyone wearing road racing shoes will be disqualified.
Athletes should be ready to have their shoes checked for compliance with NCAA/World Athletics rules at check in. 5-10% of all entrants will have their shoes checked.

Athletic Trainers:

The athletic training area will open 1 hour prior to the start of the competition and remain open
until the conclusion of the competition.

Facilities:

Rekortan 8 lane track. The hammer and javelin will take place on the upper campus. The upper
athletic fields are approximately half a mile from the track stadium. The javelin will be thrown
from a grass runway. Shuttles to the upper fields from the stadium will be provided for all
athletes, coaches, and officials only. Spectators will be responsible for their own transportation.
Shuttles will leave from the northwest of the stadium bleachers. For a map of the campus, please

Parking:

Limited parking is available on campus. Street parking is available near the track stadium.

Stadium Entry:

Athletes and coaches may enter through the participant’s gate at the top of Alumni Avenue (near the 100m start).

Tickets should be purchased ahead of time for all spectators through the following links:

All tickets purchased in advance are $10 each including fees. Tickets purchased at the gate will be $10 each cash or credit.
Spectators must check in at the SCIAC table and receive their wristband for the day, which must be worn at all times.
Children under 12 and spectators with a SCIAC institutional ID are free of charge.

No spectators or non-participating athletes or coaches will be allowed on the infield.

Championship Credentials:

Tournament credentials are required for all tournament participants, officials, and staff. The credentials will be provided to teams upon arrival at the competition site on Day One. The credentials are to be worn at all times, except during competition. The credentials may not be given to family, friends, etc. to avoid admission charges.
