LOS ANGELES — Jake Fredrickson was named the SCIAC Hitter of the Week for the second time this season on Monday after another solid weekend.
The sophomore from Shoreline, Wash. went 5 for 11 with a home run, four runs scored, a pair of doubles and a pair of RBIs as Oxy beat Cal Lutheran 2-1 in a three-game series to move into a tie for third in the SCIAC with the Kingsmen.
Fredrickson earned his first SCIAC Hitter of the Week award and D3baseball.com Team of the Week honors on April 8.
Fredrickson is leading the SCIAC with four home runs and a .667 slugging percentage, ranks second with a .471 on base percentage, and is ninth in hitting at .348.
