LOS ANGELES — Liam Walsh scored a pair of goals, and Riley McCabe and Matthew Labrie each scored one as the Occidental men's soccer team upped it SCIAC winning streak to five games with a 4-1 win over Cal Lutheran at Jack Kemp Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers move into a tie for first place in the SCIAC with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 21 points.
Walsh, a senior from Washington, D.C., leads the SCIAC with six goals in conference play and he's scored eight total this season.
Nate Dunning was credited with an assist on McCabe's goal in the 4th minute and Labrie's goal came moments later in the 6th minute, giving Oxy an early 2-0 cushion.
Luca Rodrigues cut Oxy's lead to 2-1 in the 44th minute with Cal Lutheran's goal just before halftime.
The Tigers sweep their season series against the Kingsmen with a pair of wins.
Oxy has won five of its last six games with the only loss coming on the road at NCAA Division II UC San Diego.
Season Impact: Oxy improves to 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the SCIAC.
