Kim Leads Oxy Past UC Santa Cruz

LOS ANGELESSean Kim scored in the 80th minute on an assist from Ethan Glass, leading the Occidental men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over UC Santa Cruz at Jack Kemp Stadium on Friday night.

It it Glass' team-best sixth assist this season and Kim's first goal.

The non-conference victory was Oxy's seventh win in its last eight matches. 

SCIAC Playoffs: The Tigers have already clinched a spot in the four-team SCIAC Postseason Tournament for the third time in program history. Oxy is also in the middle of battling for seeding, along with playing for its first regular-season SCIAC Championship. The Tigers are currently tied for first with 27 points.

Season Impact: Oxy improves to 12-4 overall.

UC Santa Cruz falls to 5-9. The Banana Slugs are 1-4 against the SCIAC so far this year.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action at Caltech on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
