LOS ANGELES -- Keenan Leary recorded an 8K personal record on the last race of his career, finishing 72nd overall at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

Oxy's entire men's team was making its second consecutive appearance at nationals.

"I'm really proud of our four seniors who ended their careers together at a national championship," Oxy head coach Rob Bartlett said. "The team result wasn't what we hoped for, but we'll come back to la stronger for having had the experience and read to move on in 2018."

Leary, a senior from Seattle who placed seventh in the West Region last weekend, ran 25:19.16 and was the first to cross the line for the Tigers.

"Also really proud of Keenan who put himself in the mix early in the race and gave everything he had to record a PR in his last race on a cold, windy and wet conditions on a hilly course."

Thomas Robertson was Oxy's second man to cross at 26:29.78 and Michael Caballero was third at 26:31.25.

The Tigers finished 32nd as a group. North Central (Ill.) won the team championship and Darin Lau of Wis.-Eau Claire won the race at 24:03.59.
