Dunne, Hinkel Earn Podium Spots in Hurdle Events

LOS ANGELES -- Isabelle Dunne finished second in the 400-meter hurdles, Onyekachi Nwabueze was third in the 200 and fourth in the 100, and Rachael Hinkel placed third in the 100 hurdles, highlighting the Occidental women's track team's performance at their final SCIAC Multi-Dual Meet of the season on Saturday.

The Tigers lost to Redlands, Pomona-Pitzer and La Verne, finishing the dual-meet season 2-6.

Dunne, who's missed time this spring with an injury, crossed the line in 1:04.28.

Nwabueze, an All-SCIAC performer in both the 100 and 200 last year, finished the 100 in 12.76 and the 200 in 26.13.

Hinkel earned a podium spot, finishing her race in 16.28.

Mel Devoney placed fourth in the 1,500, crossing the line in 4:54.07.

Next Meet: The Tigers compete at the Mt. Sac Relays next weekend, preparing for the SCIAC Championship meet on May 1-2.
