CLAREMONT — Emma Yudelevitch, Sabrina Degnan and the Occidental women's track and field team put together six program top 10 times and 29 seasonal or lifetime bests on their way to a pair of wins over Cal Lutheran 95-67 and Pomona-Pitzer 102-56 in SCIAC Dual # 2 on Saturday.
Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 3-2 overall and are contending for third place with just multi-dual competition against Redlands, Caltech and Whittier, and the SCIAC Championship meet remaining.
From the Coach: "Yesterday was one of the best team days for the women in recent memory," Oxy head coach Rob Bartlett said. "The entire team had an incredible day with every event group contributing to the team's success. To see so many young Tigers stepping up is hugely exciting for both this season and for the coming years."
Yudelevitch had four first-place finishes and two of Oxy's top 10 marks. She won the 100m (12.33 seconds) and the 200m (25.85 into 2.5 wind), and also ran a leg on Oxy's winning 4x100m (Rachel Cockburn, Yudelevitch, Rachael Hinkel and Onyekachi Nwabueze) and 4x400m (Charlotte Cullip, Isabelle Dunne, Nwabueze and Yudelevitch) relay teams.
Yudelevitch's 100m time of 12.33 moves her up to 4th in program history and Oxy's 4x100 mark of 49.10 is third in program history.
