Oxy Women's Track Goes 2-1 at Redlands

REDLANDS — The Occidental women's track and field team went 2-1 at SCIAC Dual-Meet # 3 on Saturday, putting them in the top half of the conference after the conclusion of the dual-meet season.

Redlands Dual-Meet Scores:

Occidental 117, Whittier 29

Occidental 131, Caltech 6

Redlands 86, Occidental 77

SCIAC Dual-Meet Record 5-3 - 4th Place

Roxanne Valle won the 1,500m (4:54.19), the Tigers swept the podium in the 400m, and Emma Yudelevitch took first in the 100m (12.68) and 200m (25.62).

Onyekachi Nwabueze finished second in the 200m (25.63) and third in the 100m (12.81).

Charlotte Cullip took first in the 400m (59.48), Cora Davies was second (62.38) and Amelia Ashley finished third (63.59).

Isabelle Dunne had a seasonal best in the 400m hurdles with a first-place finish (64.29) and Allison Kilday ran a personal best for second in the event (65.34).

Sabrina Degnan took first in hammer (133-2.5), javelin (113-4) and the discus (105-1), and took third in the shot put. Her mark in the hammer puts her at fifth in Oxy history.

Championship Format: The SCIAC Dual-Meet Season accounts for 25 percent of the final SCIAC Standing and the SCIAC Championship Meet on April 29-30 makes up the other 75 percent.

Next Meet: The Tigers have next weekend off to prepare for the SCIAC Championships on April 29-30.
