Men's and Women's Track Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS — The Occidental men's and women's track and field teams were recognized for their excellence in the classroom, earning the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors on Wednesday.

Emma Yudelevitch from the women's team, and Chris Rom-Toribio and Nicholas Conklin from the men's team earned Individual USTFCCCA Academic honors.

The Oxy women posted a 3.38 grade point average as a group and the men had a 3.24.

In total, there were 112 men's teams and 175 women's teams honored by the Association for success in the classroom and in competition.

Both Oxy track teams had outstanding seasons, finishing in second place in the SCIAC. The Oxy men finished 14th overall in the country, earned five All-American honors and sprinter Hugh Pegan won the national championship in the 200m.
