CLAREMONT — Paul Bergevin scored three goals, upping his team-best season total to 26, and Matt Munet added two.
But first-place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was too tough in their own pool, beating Oxy 14-7 on Saturday.
Matt Weiser and Henry Franscioni each scored a goal for Oxy.
CMS was led by five goals from Tanner Cullen.
The Tigers were in the game, trailing 6-4 at halftime, until CMS went on a 5-0 run in the third quarter.
Josh Needleman made seven saves for Oxy.
