WHITTIER – The Tigers competed against Whittier and Loyola Marymount on Saturday, and Long Beach State and Redlands on Sunday. Whittier is currently ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III poll and Long Beach State is ranked No. 7 in the CWPA Division I poll.
Game 1: Whittier 15, Occidental 6
William Kim and Paul Bergevin each scored a hat trick.
Whittier's Tucker Vejsicky and Massimiliano Mirarchi led the Poets.
Adam Floresheim made 11 saves.
Game 2: Loyola Marymount 18, Occidental 6
Kim and Bergevin led the Tigers against LMU as well with two goals each.
Edward Moss led LMU with 4 goals.
Floresheim registered 16 saves.
Game 3: Long Beach State 19, Occidental 1
Dominic Rodriguez scored Oxy's lone goal.
Floresheim had 14 saves.
Game 4: Redlands 16, Occidental 4
Nicolas Lipari was the leader for the Tigers with a pair goals.
Danny Hartwig and Michael Adami each chipped in three goals for Redlands.
Floresheim made 16 saves.
The Tigers travel play at UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 17.
