LOS ANGELES — Nicolas Lipari spread the ball around well, recording four assists, to go along with a pair of goals against Caltech at Taylor Pool on Saturday.
Matt Weiser led Oxy in scoring with four goals and five steals, Elijah Havens had three goals and one assist, Walter Sandbloom had two goals and two steals, and Theo Bass had a goal and a steal. Tanner Nickles played goalie for Oxy with eight saves and Joseph Cox had three assists.
The Tigers fell to the Beavers 17-12.
Steven Csaposs led the game with six goals for Caltech, Rahul Arun had four and Eshan Govil had three.
The Tigers shot just .333 percent from the field compared to Caltech's .486.
Oxy is back in action for its last home game of the season against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
