LOS ANGELES — The Occidental baseball team's offense erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning, completing a comeback and eventually, blow-out victory over Kean, 13-6 at Anderson Field on Wednesday.

Trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the sixth, the Tigers batted around, with Eamon McNeil getting a big two-run double to finally put Oxy in front 7-6.

McNeil, a two sport star at Oxy in football and baseball, finished the day 2 for 5 with a double, two runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases.

Dean Abramson, who pitched one hitless inning, earned the victory in what was more-or-less a staff pitching day for the Tigers with several guys seeing a brief amount of work. 

Graham Pimm started the rally in the sixth by getting hit in the elbow as the leadoff hitter, Devon DeRaad drilled an RBI-double the opposite way down the left field line and then Pimm came back around, getting an RBI-single to left later in the inning. Oxy catched Jared Baur finished off the rally with an RBI-sinlge, putting Oxy up 10-6.

The Tigers added three more runs in the eighth due to some aggressive baserunning and sloppy pitching by the Cougars. Oxy stole four bases in the inning, scored on a wild pitch, scored on an error and Jamie Cooper got a pinch-hit, RBI-single.

DeRaad finished the day 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored. 

Bryan Smith, who's been hot all season, hit his fifth home run of the season, drilling a solo shot off of the clubhouse in center field in the first inning. 

Liam Fisher played second base for Oxy, going 1 for 2 with a pair of walks and three runs scored. 

Season Impact: The Tigers have won 10 of their last 12 games, improving to 10-5 on the season.

Kean falls to 7-5.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action on Saturday, playing Schreiner on Saturday at 1 p.m.
