LOS ANGELES — Taylor Yoshida scored 12 points and had five assists, and Dru Ishibashi had some big baskets, finishing with eight points, but the Occidental women's basketball team suffered another narrow loss, 56-53 to Chapman at Rush Gym on Wednesday.

The Tigers had the ball and a chance to tie with a three with 13 second left, but missed a pair of looks.

Oxy has lost its last two games by a total of four points against two SCIAC powerhouses in Chapman and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Triana Anderson scored 10 points and had five rebounds, Shariah Green had eight points and seven boards, and Madison Toy added seven points off the bench, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Lucy Criswell led Chapman with 17 points. 

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 8-8 overall and 3-5.

Chapman improves to 13-3 and 8-0.
