Oxy Plays Pomona Close at Home

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's water polo team played well, but ultimately fell in a 16-12 loss to Pomona-Pitzer at Taylor Pool on Wednesday night.

Hayden Comerford and Joseph Cox led Oxy with two goals, an assist and a steal, Christian Guillaume had two goals, and Elijah Havens had a goal and two assists.

Henry Grady played well in the cage for Oxy with six saves and three steals.

Noah Sasaki and Keegan Coleman led the Sagehens with a game-high three goals each.

The Tigers came on strong late, losing just 8-7 in the second half.

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 3-11 overall and 1-6 in SCIAC play.

Pomona-Pitzer goes to 15-9 and 6-2.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action on Saturday, playing La Verne at 11 a.m.
