Oxy Football Opens Season Against CETYS

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental football team is all set to begin the 2019 season. Oxy's first game is a foreign exhibition against CETYS University of Mexicali, Mexico on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Jack Kemp Stadium.

The Tigers are led by offensive captain Joshua Greaves, a senior quarterback, and defensive captain Harrison Wakefield, a senior defensive back.

TICKETS: General admission is $ 10, children 6-12 years old are $ 5, under 6 years old are admitted free and anyone with a SCIAC ID, including, faculty, students, administrators, etc... are free.

INTERNATIONAL CLASH: It is the second time the teams have played. Oxy and CETYS played in Mexico last season with the Tigers winning 20-0.

CETYS UNIVERSITY: CETYS is an high academic small college in Mexicali, Mexico that is currently in transition to become the first NCAA Division II competing school south of the border.
