Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental men's water polo team hosted Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday night. The Tigers struggled to get up on the scoreboard in the first and third periods. However, they bounced back in the second and fourth period, even outscoring the Sagehens in the second (5-4). In the end, it was not enough to recover from their deficit, leading to a 17-12 loss.
Oxy was led by junior attacker Jarrod Norton (Newbury Park, CA) who had six shots on goal, with three making them into the net. After Norton, Wilson Noll and Keegan Klein stepped up, each scoring two times. Overall, eight Tigers found the net. The other Tigers that snuck one past the keeper were Daniel Cruz, Aiden Cawley, Cian Concannon, Christian Guillaume, and Dominic Rios.
In the Oxy goal was junior goalkeeper Cole Ivie (Agoura Hills, CA) with nine saves for the night and a save percentage of .346.
