Los Angeles, CA — Due to the uncertainty and danger of Covid-19, the Occidental women's basketball team faced a series of game cancellations. This did not stop the Tigers from continuing their hard work during winter break in preparation for their face off against the CMS Athenas. They came out hard in the first half but lost the lead in the second, ending the game with their fourth loss of the season, 69-74.
Amaia McCoy (Las Vegas, NV) led the Tigers with 15 points and six rebounds with Alyanna McGrath not far behind with 14 points and also six rebounds. Senior, Raveena Dhiman (San Jose, CA) made her debut in her return from injury with 10 points off the bench.
CMS certainly kept the Tigers on their toes the entire game and was able to take home the victory. Leading scorers for the Athenas were Austyn Musano and Grace Florendo with 14 points each.
