Two Win Streak for the Tigers, 61-51

Los Angeles, CA – Monday night, the Occidental women's basketball team faced the Cal Lu Regal in Rush Gym. The Tigers started and ended the game strong leading in the first and fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Tigers earned the largest lead of 13 points over the Regals. These past two wins have moved the Tigers up in the SCIAC ranks into 7th place.

Raveena Dhiman (San Jose, CA) led the team and was the top scorer for the game with 16 points.  Dhiman had a field goal percentage of 60.0 and a three-pointer percentage of 66.7.  Toni Thompson (Newbury Park, CA) followed with 14 points and Maylene Hughes (Sacramento, CA) scored 10 points. The Tigers had an impressive free throw percentage of 62.1% and were able to work cohesively as a team.

Cal Lu's lead in the second and third quarters surely put pressure on the Tigers. They served as great competitors to help the team grow and improve together. Grace Godines led the Regals with 12 points.

Next Game: On Wednesday, January 19, the Tigers head to Orange, CA to face the Chapman Panthers at 7:00 p.m.
