Los Angeles, CA – The Occidental women's basketball team earned their seventh win of the season against Bethesda University.
This game allowed many players to step up to the court and earn more experience. The Tigers worked extremely well together which will hopefully carry over into their next conference match.
Gabriela Etopio (Henderson, NV) had a stellar performance leading the Tigers with 12 rebounds. Etopio's aggressiveness helped the Tigers maintain possession and keep the Flames at bay. Toni Thompson (Newbury Park, CA) led the team with 15 points with Alegria Lopez (Los Angeles, CA) and Raveena Dhiman (San Jose, CA) followed with 13 points each. Additionally, Lopez had six rebounds, two steals, and three blocks.
Bethesda put up a good fight in Rush Gym. Alex Buckley led the Flames with 16 points and Isabella Ortiz followed with 10 points.
Next Game: No. 1 in SCIAC, the University of Redlands, heads to Eagle Rock to compete against the Tigers on Wednesday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m.
