Redlands, CA — The No. 9 Occidental Men's Water Polo team continued their winning streak with a win against the No. 2 Redland Bulldogs. Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) was the first Tiger to score with help from Nate Fisher (LaGrange, IL). Then, Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) followed with the assist going to Kellen Radtkey (Santa Barbara, CA). The Tigers were tied with the Bulldogs after the first quarter, yet they brought the heat in the second. Radtkey scored a few minutes into the quarter with help from Guillaume. Next, Shea Grosz (Lafayette, CA) found the back of the net, assisted by Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI). That goal came on a powerplay.
In the third quarter, Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) stepped up and scored on another powerplay with help from Travis Hughes (Corte Madera, CA). Then, Guillaume fired another shot with the assist from Grosz. In the final quarter, Klein shot and scored on a penalty shot. Lastly, with one minute left in the game, Comerford beat the goalie on a fast break to finalize the Tigers win. On defense, the Tigers had thirteen steals total, with Comerford and Fisher having three each. The Tigers also drew nine exclusions. Final Score: 8-6 Oxy.
Alec Abrahamian, Andrew Higginson, Ron Gvishi, Spencer Sellwood, Jake Rose, and Spencer Clinton all had one goal a piece for the Bulldogs.
