Claremont, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team went head-to-head against No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. The game started off strong with Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI) firing a shot into the back of the cage. Then in the second quarter, Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA) scored on a powerplay with help from Comerford. The Tigers were held off by Pomona-Pitzer for the remainder of the second quarter and some of the third, but that didn't stop them towards the end of the game from scoring.
Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) converted a penalty shot with a minute left in the third quarter, and then Cian Concannon (Mill Valley, CA) shot and scored with help from Fisher. Following shortly, Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) scored from the center with the assist going to Fisher again. Then, Concannon scored again on a fast break with help from Guillaume. Overall, the Tigers won three of the sprints and had six steals. Final Score: 14-6 Pomona-Pitzer.
Matija Jancic led Pomona-Pitzer with five goals.
