Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team went up against LMU to start off day two of the Gary Troyer Tournament. Cian Concannon (Mill Valley, CA) was the first Tiger to score, with help from Kellen Radtkey (Santa Barbara, CA). The second quarter was a strong one, bringing the Tigers tied with LMU at half. Chritian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) scored three goals, one off of a power play. The assists were awarded to Jarrod Norton (Newbury Park, CA), Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) and Radtkey. Then, with one second left in the quarter, Klein saw the perfect opportunity after stealing the ball on a seven-on-six play, and scored on LMU's open cage. In the second half of the game, Shea Grosz (Lafayette, CA) found the back of the net with help from Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA). Next, Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI) beat the goal on a powerplay, assisted by Norton. On defense, the Tigers drew six exclusions and had thirteen steals. Grosz and Comerford both had three steals each. The Tigers put up a good fight but still fell short to LMU. Final Score: 14-7 LMU.
