Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team went up against the University of Redlands for a second time this season. Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI) was the first to score for the Tigers with help from Shea Grosz (Lafayette, CA). Then Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) struck next with nine seconds left in the first quarter. That assist was awarded to Kellen Radtkey (Santa Barbara, CA). To kickstart the second quarter, the Klein and Radteky duo added another point to the scoresheet. Next, Nate Fisher (LaGrange, IL) popped the ball up on a counter attack, hit the crossbar, and then scored off of his own rebound. Then, Fisher scored again with help from Grosz. Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) came next with help from Fisher. On the last possession of the second quarter, Klein scored off of the perfect redirect pass.
In the third quarter, Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) scored on a powerplay with help from Radtkey, followed by Fisher scoring with a great pass from Klein. Keeping up the scoring streak, Guillaume hit the back of the cage again with help from Fisher. With two seconds left in the third, Comerford fired the perfect shot with help from Radtkey, leaving the Tigers on a high note as they prepared to battle through the last quarter. With eight minutes left to play, Klein added another point for the Tigers with help from Radtkey. Then, the Guillaume and Fisher duo scored again. As the game started to come to an end, the Tigers and Redlands were neck in neck, with no more than a one point difference between the scores. Grosz changed that with a strong shot to the back of the cage with help from Norton. Finally, Comerford sealed the deal with a minute left to play. That assist was awarded to Grosz. On defense, the Tigers drew five exclusions and had seven steals. Final Score: 15-14 Oxy
