Los Angeles, CA – The Occidental women's basketball team went up against Austin College. It was a very competitive game between the Tigers and the Kangaroos, but the Tigers were the ones to come out on top. They started off strong winning the first quarter. Then the Kangaroos took the second, but the Tigers retaliated by winning the third. The fourth quarter was close, but the Tigers were able to hold off the Kangaroos to secure the win, 54-45.

Paige Yasukochi takes the lead again for the Tigers with 16 points with Amaia McCoy not too far behind with 11 points. In addition to leading in points, Yasukochi also led with her 8 rebounds. And again, McCoy was not far behind with 7 rebounds. Overall, the Tigers were able to find a rhythm that worked for them and help each other take another Texas win.

Off the Kangaroo bench, Brooklyn Matthews stole the show by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for her team. The Kangaroos surely kept the Tigers on their toes, not making this an easy win.

The Tigers will play their last Texas game on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. against the University of Dallas in Irving, TX.
