Orange, CA – Occidental's Tigers played against Chapman University this last Wednesday evening.

In the first half, Nolet knocked out a jump shot that evened out both teams on the scoreboard. Williams, as he continues to improve this season, also aided the team in closing the gap between the scores.

Overall, Oxy was able to keep up with their defense and work hard with the team. Compared to Chapman, Oxy's free throw percentage was much higher at a 76.5% rate compared to Chapman's 65.2%. Additionally, thanks to Nolet's three-pointer game going off during the game, Oxy's three-point percentage was also higher. Chapman did score higher, however, in the amount of turnovers they had. Another powerful indicator of Oxy's defense standing strong.

As the game continued, Hollerich and Shipp were working a hard offense in order to close the gap even more between the scores. After gaining six points between the game, Oxy ended with a 81-98 score.

Looking forward to seeing how the team continues to strengthen their new players and continue a strong record.

Next game: Occidental College will be playing Cal Miramar again at Occidental College, 5:00pm this Friday, February 11th. Come support the Tigers in action!
