Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Tigers Men's Water Polo Team faced Loyola Marymount University on Saturday. Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) with an assist from Keegan Klein (Bellevue, WA) were the first Tigers to connect and score not once, but twice in the first quarter. Shortly after, Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) scored on a powerplay with a nice setup pass from Shea Grosz (Lafayette, CA). During the second quarter, Grosz found the back of the cage twice, with assists from Hayden Comerford (Honolulu, HI) and Dominic Rios (Redlands, CA). Nate Fisher (LaGrange, IL) shot and scored with an assist from Klein during the third quarter.
As the game started to finish up the Tigers brought the heat, scoring seven goals during the fourth quarter. Klein started the scoring streak with a five-meter goal. Then, Cian Concannon (Mill Valley, CA) scored, with yet another assist from Klein. Jarrod Norton (Newbury Park, CA) was the next to score with the help of Grosz. With two minutes left in the game, Guillaume added three more goals to the Tiger's scoreboard, bringing the Tigers just short of LMU with a final score of 20-13.
Tyler Harvey led LMU with four goals.
