Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Men's Water Polo team faced CalTech for the second time during their SCIAC season this past Saturday. Christian Guillaume (Ventura, CA) was the first to score for the Tigers with help from Oliver Wilkins (Seattle, WA). Then, they flipped roles twice and Wilkins scored with the assist from Guillaume, followed by another goal from Guillaume assisted by Wilkins. Zane Derrod (Chula Vista, CA) followed, with a conversion on a penalty shot. In the second quarter, Jack Davis (Livermore, CA) shot and scored with the pass from goalie Jack Schroeder (Elmhurst, IL). Then, Aiden Cawley (Chicago, IL) beat the goalie on a shot, followed by another goal off a penalty from Z. Derrod. Lars Schubert scored next for the Tigers with help from Max Stone (San Diego, CA). After regrouping at half, Guillaume deposited his third shot into the goal. After a couple minutes of back and forth battling, Guillaume scored again. With ten seconds left in the third quarter, Wilkins found the right shot with the assist awarded to Z. Derrod. The Tigers didn't stop in the fourth quarter, with Cawley scoring his second goal of the game followed by a last, and final goal from Guillaume. On defense, the Tigers drew eleven exclusions, Guillaume drawing three, and had twelve steals. The Tigers also held CalTech from scoring in the first and fourth quarters. Final Score: 13-2 Oxy.
